So when I saw these shoes, I had to have them. I have had other water shoes in the past. Most of them are either, heavy, ugly or allow small rocks to get in through the sides. I know that these shoes are mainly for boating activities. However, I bought them for a trip to Havasupi (grand canyon) to use for hiking in and around the falls. These shoes responded beautifully. I hiked on land, over rocks and in water for 4 days. and they were comfortable and supportive. I did over 7 miles a day in them and they still look brand new. I'm sure that there are more rugged or supportive water shoes for this type of activity. But none of them are as cool looking for sure. I highly recommend these shoes. Office is casual so these are great with jeans. I am a size 7 women, so I just got the 5.5 men's, and they fit great.
